The London Institute of Legal and vocational Training (LILVT), is one of the most distinctive organizations within the legal training market. We are an accredited centre with the institute of legal executives (ILEX) and City and Guilds and we prepare candidates for the LLB examinations of the University of London External Programme.
Our trainees may obtained employment in many public sector organizations such as The Crown Prosecution Service, The Probation Service, The Department of Constitutionals Affairs, The Metropolitan Police, The National Health Service, The Immigration National directorate, The Royal Courts of Justice and the UK Detention Service.
We provided vocational training in both the law and legal procedure via the institute of executives and City and Guild accredited pro-route from NVQ level 2-6.

ILEX/ City and Guilds Vocational Paralegal Studies

The ILEX Paralegal study programmes along with the Vocational paralegal studies provide  access for the  study of law . We know that modern solicitors must consider themselves to be “Citizen of the world”, have the knowledge and ski8lls to be a solicitor of the world and be connected to other  legal and  accountancy professional around the world.

 ILEX has developed an education and training scheme, which offers the opportunity of a career in law for anyone. The route to qualifying as a Legal Executive is the Membership Examination, which is divided into Level 3 and Level 6.

Level 3 (Professional Diploma in Law) provides a broad introduction to law and legal practice. Level 6 (formerly Level 4) (Professional Higher Diploma in Law) allows for the specialist study of three substantive law papers and one practice subject. Level 3 subjects are set and examined by ILEX at a standard comparable to A level. Level 6 papers are set at degree level whilst the Level 6 practice papers are set at a standard designed to identify those who have the ability to become expert practitioners in their specialist fields.

The programmes are designed to establish a
national standard for those working in a legal environment. They offer a flexable route with no entry requirements (although a Grade C or above in English Language GCSE is desirable).

Legal secretaries are involved in a wide range of administrative tasks and office management. They also have more specialist legal work duties and liaise directly with their law firm's clients.
